ski resort Mayrhofen - Zillertal
This is just how mountains should be...
The resort of Mayrhofen, surrounded by the ski mountains of Ahorn and Penken, is a simply superlative holiday destination. Challenging, varied, diverse and entertaining. Mayrhofen guarantees perfect winter pleasure, which guests can enjoy with like-minded individuals.
The unspoilt nature, wonderful infrastructure and wide variety of activities have helped Mayrhofen to become the best ski resort in the Alps. Countless awards have literally “snowed down“ on the Mayrhofen mountain railways over recent years. This resort, set in the midst of the Zillertal Alps, offers the perfect terrain, whatever ski length you use.
Winter enthusiasts can benefit from over 150 km of slopes catering to all levels, 49 lifts and guaranteed snow up to 2,500 m above sea level with the Mayrhofen ski pass – all on a single ticket. And, as far as snow is concerned, it’s guaranteed over the entire Ahorn area from now on! This means that snow enthusiasts can count on perfectly prepared downhill runs into the spring, thus swinging down directly into Mayrhofen on the 5.5 km downhill slopes. A run on the Harakiri, Austria’s steepest slopes, is certainly not for the faint-hearted. With an incline of 78%, the Harakiri slope requires a lot of punch and staying power. Boarders and free skiers can demonstrate their skills in Mayrhofen’s Burton Park – the best fun park in the Alps.
