Allow yourself to be whisked up and away to a day’s skiing pleasure in one of the state of the art 8-seater single-rope funicular directly from Matrei in East Tyrol (920 m above sea level) to an altitude of 2,120 m.
A 1,450 m long 4-seater glass-domed chairlift, or so-called “4-seater bubble” also makes for pleasant mountain ascents. Once you reach the 2,405 m Cima Ross peak, the valley beckons from below, and the daring can even attempt an unparalleled 12 km long valley descent. The resort boasts 35 km of well-groomed slopes.
High-performance snow machines guarantee the proverbial snowy conditions.
The heady backdrop includes 60 three thousand metre peaks with Großglockner and Großvenediger, the Hohe Tauern range, the Dolomites and the Hohe Tauern national park.
The East Tyrol Ski Association’s ski pass, “Top Ski Osttirol” (“Top Skiing in East Tyrol”) grants holders access to countless lifts and slopes.
