Freesports Arena Krippenstein. Days of Freedom.
The Freesports Arena Krippenstein in the Upper Austrian Salzkammergut area has been chosen by the magazine SnowPlanet as the hot spot for the Freerider scene – relegating notable names such as Cortina, St. Moritz and the Arlberg to the lesser positions! Beyond the runs and cliff drops, the ‘Stoa’ impresses, as the locals respectfully call this mighty mountain, with an enthralling programme of outdoor events – far removed from the mainstream.
Thirty kilometres of off-piste variants, a superb fun park and the snow-assuredness of the Dachstein Glacier area give you an appetite for powder snow and wide boards. Whether it’s skiing or boarding, the numerous variants at the Freesports Arena Krippenstein will fill every powder fan with enthusiasm! Schönberg, Imisl and Eisgrube offer rough rocky ridges, slopes which are rich in diversity and select forest routes, 1500 meters altitude for each ride requires fitness and concentration.
Days of freedom are in the Freesports Arena Krippenstein programme – everything goes:
skiing and boarding, on and off piste, freeride training and snow-camps, snow-shoe hikes, ski tours, ice climbing, dog sled rides, paragliding. Or maybe you would prefer to go down the piste on a mountain bike … Or might you prefer to just spectate and watch the pros during one of the many spectacular events? Or what about extreme Alpine hut sitting !!??
