A warm welcome to the Klotz family’s Wiesejaggl pension-guesthouse at the Kaunerberg

Our property lies at an altitude of 1,400 metres above sea level, in a peaceful but central location on the Kaunerberg - with a spectacular view over the "Oberg'richt", one of the most beautiful parts of the upper Inn Valley. The breathtaking view from our property stretches right up to the Italian and Swiss borders.
Our 7 rooms and 1 apartment - all with balcony or terrace and a view to die for - and tastefully appointed restaurant with traditional tavern, which meets the strict quality criteria of the “Tyrolean Tavern” initiative, invite you to stay and relax.

Here, the sun rises from 8.30am regardless of the season - proof of the bright, sunny location. Situated on the “Pillerstrasse” excursion road, the “Wiesejaggl” is the perfect starting point for many excursions, tours and hikes.
Why the name “Wiesejaggl inn” (Wirtshaus zum Wiesejaggl)?

In the 15th century, a Wiesejaggl was a poacher who did not want to be subject to the imperial authorities. At that time, he lived in the same place above the Kaltenbrunn, from where the Wiesejaggl inn’s manager also comes ... giving rise to the name.

The manager is no poacher - but completely wild about indulging you and ensuring you have a lovely holiday.

Various menus, from Tyrolean home-style cooking to international cuisine - prepared by the manager himself - as well as other delicacies from the kitchen and cellar, tantalise the taste buds with culinary delights.
This initiative has set itself the task of reviving the original Tyrolean cuisine with all its variations.
