After driving the 26 km long Kaunertal Glacier Road up to the glacier region, you will find a ski area that is still an insider tip due to its location.

If you don't like long queues at the lifts, this is the place for you - and not just because of that, as the 55 kilometres of pistes, which are mainly natural snow slopes, and the Snowpark Kaunertal fulfil every wish. You can enjoy the last powder turns of the season here until May. If you prefer to stay in the park, then the Spring Classics, which have been an institution in the scene for years, offer all riders the opportunity to take apart the perfect snow park according to all the rules of the art for another seven weeks.

Austria's steepest slope:
With a gradient of 87.85%, the "Black Ibex" is the steepest groomed slope in Austria. It is located in the Falginjochbahn area.

Tip for the black descent: Slope 6 (Karlesjoch - ski tunnel) black - you can also ski down through the floodlit 170 m long ski tunnel via the new slope 4a (ski tunnel connection)

Black Ibex-Austrias steepest slope
With 87,5% gradient the Black ibex slope is since last winter the steepest prepared slope austrias. The Black Ibex is located in the grounds of the Falginjochbahn.
