Ski resort Hohentauern
SKI HOHENTAUERN is a real insider tip for those who like to ski for pleasure and enjoy pure nature in an informal atmosphere.
Access to the small, but classy ski eldorado is made possible via 5 lifts. Younger skiiers are definitely our top priority - accompanied kids up to 6 years of age ski for free! The children’s facilities are certainly something to be proud of – the little ski sprites can cavort on the hop-skip-jump railway, and in the forest of the gnomes, while the children’s ski school with ski roundabout and magic carpet conveyor, a source of winter fun for all, is also located directly by the lift, putting all the facilities within reach.
Well-prepared natural snow slopes catering to all levels of expertise are a delight for both skiers and snowboard fans. The “Imp’s Hut“, with a sun terrace and a view of the wonderful mountain panorama at 1,800 m, is perfect for a well-earned break, serving the celebrated stone pine schnapps, speciality soups and much more… Here, the “Styrian seal of approval“ vouches for the quality of the slopes! There’s no doubt about it – skiing really can be as good as this! Graded, good-value ticket prices equal made-to-measure skiing pleasure. So: simply check out www.skihohentauern.at
The Hohentauern resort is complemented perfectly by the Tauern cross-country ski area – awarded the exclusive Styrian cross-country skiing seal of approval. Cross-country pleasure over 11 km of parallel, classic trails. Access to the cross-country fun and winter hiking trails is easy – simply visit the ticket machines at the Hohentauern ski lift complex.
Winter horse-riding, a sleigh ride and ice skating and curling are just some of the many alternative activities on offer – the “pile-village” by the Weberteich is always open. A decent tobogganing session with a break at the Edelraute hut, or in the pile-village, round off the Tauern region’s range of winter activities.
