Heartly welcome in the youth hostel Mauser-Mühltaler
Our main house is located in the historical centre of Mauterndorf and looks like a castle. It offers place for about 100 persons in bedrooms of 2-8 beds.
Besides we also own “die Villa” and an apartment-house. For your personal recreational activities we offer you table-tennis, tabletop football, billard, darts and a large leisure-room which is ideal for your disco-nights, games or dancing. There is also a lounge which is provided with a huge screen and a beamer as well as cable TV and video. This room is well suited for your courses and workshops. We also offer you free Internet access to check your e-mails and to send your holiday greetings. Two dining-halls – one with 65 places and the other with 80 places are at your disposal for your meals, for games and fun. The bus-shuttle starts just in front of our house to take you to the nearby (1 km) ski-area of Großeck/Speiereck. Or you choose one of the other ski-areas near us like Fanningberg, Katschberg/Aineck or Obertauern. It’s also possible to do skating or “Eisstockschießen” (a traditional Austrian winter sport on ice), enjoy a hike through the winter landscape or cultural trips, or you take a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh.
