The hotel is in a tranquil location yet still central. St.Veit im Pongau: YOUR wellbeing hotel is situated in St.Veit im Pongau in the heart of the Ski Amadé region. Although this is Europe’s largest ski area with 280 lifts and 800 km of slopes, the village remains peaceful and quaint and is full of winter romance. We can offer an idyllic winter holiday and activities include a ski safari with your host Ernst, snowshoe hiking in the mountains with a St. Veiter mountain farmer, horse-drawn sleigh rides with Lois or cross-country skiing directly from our ski stall and night tobogganing or curling with Rose Marie. 1 ski safari per week with your host and former downhill skier Ernst Winkler a free ski bus runs from the hotel to the cable car station six times a day. The hotel entrance is the starting point for many hikes. There are countless attractions less than a half-hour drive away including the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain, Lichtensteinklamm gorge, Zell am See, Werfen Castle and the Gasteinertal Valley. Facilities: All our rooms have undergone a general renovation. Each room is individually furnished and many have four-poster beds. All offer beautiful, elegant fabrics. The Sonnhof is a hotel with a truly relaxing ambience. All rooms offer beautiful country house furniture, cable TV, a telephone, an internet connection, a safe and a hairdryer while most also have a balcony with a superb view. You will feel at home instantly. Wellness area: The wellness area is completely new! The rooms are sunny and airy and you can enjoy a fabulous view of the mountains from the bio sauna. The bright panorama relax room with its huge window gives onto the terrace, which in turn offers a superb view of Schernberg Castle.
