In the middle of Ellmau at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser mountains, what was once a large farmhouse is now an oasis of relaxation for the whole family. Comfortable guest rooms in different categories are available, from small rooms for single guests to generous sized family apartments. Our enchanting bathing and sauna landscaped areas of 430 sqm are open daily. Particularly attractive is the outdoor whirlpool on the Kaiser terrace with its marvellous views of our beautiful mountain range.

The Hochfilzer half board accommodation where you are spoilt for choice, not only retains its traditional fare, but also provides modern dishes where you can instantly decide what you want to eat. You have a choice of three different freshly prepared menus. Besides that, you can combine your favourite salads from the colourful salad buffet. A varied buffet at a reduced price is available for our Hochfilzer guests at midday (only in summer).

Take an international culinary journey every evening with our varied themes and experiences that still retains an Austrian feeling. Our Farmer’s Buffet, the Gala Dinner and the Barbecue Evening (summer only) are very popular each week and not to be missed.

A herb walk, followed by a cookery course to sample your plants, a cake buffet, picnics on the mountain and much more, make a Hochfilzer week complete.

Music is important and because of that, we frequently organise live music evenings on the Hochfilzer terrace or in the hotel lounge. From traditional zither music, dance evenings to light jazz. We aim to offer a varied selection for all our guests.

The activity programme is special to our hearts. That’s why we’ve allocated a team of three people. If you like, they will be with you all the way through the humorous, romantic, exhausting or relaxing times. They will guide you on beautiful walks, trips, on wild adventurous sports, on the torchlight procession, helping with the children’s activities and so much more. Many of our regular guests have seen some magnificent scenery on the Wilder Kaiser, guided by our nature team who have been quick to learn and love this area.

It’s true that in Ellmau and the surrounding areas you can partake in every kind of sport - from hiking to golf and from skiing to mountains hikes on snow shoes - except for deep sea diving and sailing on the ocean.. In the heart of the Kitzbüheler Alps the favourite walking and golf destinations are right in the middle of a valley in front of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains. Everything is by our front door here in Ellmau.
