innovations Breuil Cervinia

For the coming winter season 2006/2007, a re-launch of the area of Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche Zermatt with the construction of six new lifts and an increase in the artificial snow cover.

In particular, works will include in Breuil-Cervinia:
- The construction of a 4-place fixed-grip chair lift, "Campetto", with carpet loading system and an hourly capacity of 2,400 people/hour.
- The construction of a detachable 6-place chairlift, "Cretaz", with carpet loading system and an hourly capacity of 3,000 people/hour.
- General revision of the cable car KC10 Breuil – Plan Maison, with the replacement of the vehicles and hourly capacity of 2,000 people/hour.
- New artificial snow coverage from the top of the Plan Torrette chair lift to the intersection with the piste nr 26.
- Development of the water resources in the Plan Maison catchment area.
All for the revalutation of the Campetto zone and therefore in that area of the resort creating a new, fast and efficient alternative for reaching Plan Maison and Plateau Rosà directly from town.

Works in the area of Valtournenche will include:
- The construction of a 4-place fixed-grip chair lift, “Motta”, with carpet loading system and an hourly capacity of 2,000 people/hour.
- The construction of a detachable 6-place chair lift, “Bec Carré”, with carpet loading system and an hourly capacity of 2,400 people/hour.
- The construction of a 4-place fixed-grip chair lift, “Du Col”, with carpet loading system and an hourly capacity of 2,000 people/hour.
- The construction of the first lot in the system of artificial snow coverage from Colle Inferiore delle Cime Bianche (2,893 m a.s.l.) to the arrival station of the cable car Salette (2,250 m a.s.l.)

On the Swiss side of Zermatt, a new 8-place cable car will be constructed from Furi to Riffelberg with an intermediate station and an hourly capacity of 2,800 people/hour.
