Unique winter sensation in the matchless natural scene around our house. Enjoy the fresh and clear winter air during your hike through the nature or when testing your cross-country skiiing skills at the track directly in front of our hotel. If you prefer alpine skiing, try the Karkogel, our "back-yard skiing area". You would like to enjoy skiing even a little "more"? No problem either. The ski shuttle, which is free of charge, gets you to the skiing region "Dachstein West" within approximately 15 minutes - 3 villages connected by 40 ski lifts - here everyone finds something after his fancy.
Let's get back to Abtenau - try tobogganing down the Karkogel. During the quick ride down the toboggan run fun for everyone is guaranteed.
After an eventful winter's day, allow yourself to unwind in our cozy sauna facilities, incl. infrared sauna and heat bench. After a pleasant massage you will for sure be ready for a new day in winter wonderland.

From the culinary point of view we wake you up with a generous breakfast buffet in the morning, in the evenings we serve you with several different menues to choose from or organise barbecue or buffet evenings. For our youngest guests we have a special kids' menu at hand. Our restaurant is open daily, warm meals served all day.
